David is a qualified counsellor/Social Worker with degrees in psychology, history, Social Work, counselling and theology. He has practiced for over 40 years in the government, non-government and private sector. He is an Accredited Member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and an Accredited Social Work Supervisor. As well as running a private counselling practice, he is a Program Manager at Ebenezer Aboriginal Corporation.
Carol Brewster-Michie
Carol is an East Arrentre, Luritja woman from Alice Springs. Carol is a qualified child-care worker and has worked in the early childhood field as a practitioner, manager and trainer for over 35 years. She currently works with Ebenezer Aboriginal Corporation as the lead of their women’s program after working with Telethon Kids Institute for 10 years, providing support and training with Indigenous communities and organisations. Carol also has experience in running storytelling events, cross-cultural encounters and mentoring that allow non-Indigenous Australians to hear the stories and views of Indigenous people.
